Windows only: Download Mover is a simple application which allows you to apply sets of rules to folders. If you dump all your downloaded files into a designated download folder for instance, you can assign rules to have all images moved to one folder, all zip files to another, and so on. Three years ago we showed you how to send a text message via email to the six major carriers in the US. At the tips and tricks blog MakeUseOf, they've compiled a list of over sixty domestic and international carriers and the corresponding email address formats used for each. In the screenshot to the left, you can see the format for sending a plain text message to a user on the Sprint network: ##########@messaging.sprintpcs.com. Place your friend's phone number in front of the proper provider domain and you're on your way. Remember if you get carried away typing, that your poor friend will be reading it on a tiny phone screen and that some services truncate the length of text messages. iPhone only: Dozens of iPhone application are free from the iTunes App Store. While the main App Store page makes absolutely no mention of the promotion, by using the application indexer at AppShopper you can search through the free applications. Some of the applications are silly, some look rather useful, but you can't look a free application in the pixels and complain. In addition, AppShopper has a price change monitor, so you can keep an eye on applications which may not be free but have be discounted heavily for Black Friday.
